RedotPay Review (English Summary)
Japan resident: YES. RedotPay accepts Japan residents, supports Apple Pay/Google Pay in Japan, and the KYC is typically approved within minutes. As of 2026-05 it is one of the most accessible crypto cards for Japan-based users alongside bitFlyer Visa and Tria.
At-a-glance
- Issuer: RedotPay (Hong Kong)
- Network: Visa / Mastercard (region-dependent)
- Card types: Virtual (USD 10 issuance) / Physical (USD 100 issuance)
- Top-up coins: USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH (TRC20/ERC20/Polygon)
- Top-up fee: 1% (USDT/USDC)
- FX fee: 1% (JPY conversion)
- Apple Pay / Google Pay: Yes (Japan supported)
- Cashback: Up to 10% on partner merchants (campaign-based)
Key strengths
One of the few cards where Japan residents can complete KYC purely with a My Number card and selfie video, get a virtual card within 5-10 minutes, and add it to Apple Pay/Google Pay immediately. No annual fee for the virtual tier. USDT/USDC top-up is fast (TRC20) and cheap.
Main drawbacks
1% top-up fee + 1% FX makes total round-trip cost roughly 2% per spend (still beats most Japanese forex credit cards at 1.6-2.2% FX + crypto-off-ramp cost). Physical card delivery takes 2-4 weeks. Daily withdrawal limits are conservative for new accounts.
Verdict
Currently the easiest "real crypto card" for Japan residents. Best paired with a small USDT reserve for travel and online shopping. Full Japanese review with screenshots, KYC steps, and Apple Pay walkthrough: /redotpay-review.
